The Nigeria Eagles Supporters Club, on Sunday, applauded the emergence of Amaju Pinnick, the president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), as a member of the FIFA Executive Council and one of the vice presidents of the Confederation of African Football.
In a statement signed by Sunny Gullong, the Chairman Board of Trustees of NESC, Gullong noted that the victory was prove of Pinnick’s contributions to the growth of the game in the continent.
“Your election is a testament to your dedication, hard work and commitment to the growth and development of the round leather game not only in Nigeria and Africa as your primary constituency, but even at the global stage.
“Your track record speaks volumes about the sterling qualities exhibited by you in managing distinctively the murky waters of football administration and development that has endeared you to the rest of the football fraternity and has now metamorphosed at the global arena.
“We at NESC are confident that you will continue to use your intuitiveness and new innovations that will accelerate the growth and development of football in Africa and the rest of the world.
“We assure you of our unflinching support and unalloyed loyalty in the task bestowed on you in charting a positive path for the growth of football. We shall relentlessly render our services to help you in your onerous task,” Gullong added.
Pinnick was elected into both positions on March 12 in Morocco.
