The President of the Nigeria Handball Federation, Sam Ocheho is full of thanks for Prudent Energy sponsorship of the Nigeria Handball league, revealing also that the business relationship will last for five years.
In a chart with www.theajasanews.com, Ocheho noted that the deal has an option of extension so long as the relationship between the two parties remain cordial.While analyzing the performance of the league so far, the president expressed satisfaction with the turnout and performance of the players and especially the new talents that have been discovered so far.
“We are all happy about the turn out of events. The technical crew are out here looking out for new talents that we will use for the future national teams. I am glad we are discovering most of them.
“We thank Prudent energy company for the sponsorship of this tournament. The first edition was a success, we are currently in the second edition . We have a certified deal of five years deal with prudent energy and they are here to stay unless if the federation misbehave which I don’t see it happening at all. They have been a wonderful sponsors. There involvement in handball have change the game of handball in Nigeria and the players as a whole.
“They have committed resources to ensure that they deliver a first class tournament that is comparable to international standard,” He concluded.
Meanwhile in a tension socked match at the ongoing Prudent Energy handball league on Friday, Imo Grasshoppers defeated defenders babes via a lone goal after the latter threw away threw goals lead two minutes to the end of the match.
The result means that Imo Grasshoppers has made it four wins out of four matches won so far played in the league, while the Defenders Babes have suffered their second defeat.
