Former Commissioner for sports in Ogun state, Bukola Olapade has blasted the Chairman of the League management company, mallam Shehu Dikko and the Nigeria Premier League club owners accusing then of been responsible for the ongoing crisis in the Nigeria league.

Speaking with BSNsports.com.ng and monitored by www.TheAjasaNews.com, Olpade stated unequivocally that LMC and the club owners in the first place set the crisis on motion by not relegating any club from the premier league maintaining that it was a total breach of the status of the LMC.

He argued that for there to be sanity in the league and for equity, the LMC must first relegate four clubs in their league to justify the NNL promoting only four clubs from their league.

“NPFL must also relegate four teams because at the end of the season eight clubs will be relegated to the NNL and at that time, NNL also has the right to reject and say they cannot accommodate eight clubs when they promoted four clubs.

The man who resigned his appointment in the NNL in the hit of the crisis argued further that even if they go further to play the super 8 they were only postponing the doomsday.

“So, even if we solve this problem now by playing the Super 8, we are only postponing doomsday in Nigeria league because the problem will still face us at the end of the season.

“They said that the rule says four teams should be promoted from the NNL to the NPFL. But they have already breached an article in LMC statute which states that only twenty teams should prosecute the NPFL. Therefore, it is wrong for them not to relegate four clubs but wants four clubs to join them from the NNL to make the number of the clubs 24.” he concluded.
