Ebuka Obi, Prophet and founder of Zion Prayer Movement Outreach, has disassociated himself from a woman who shared a testimony about buying a ₦500m house through divine means at his church.

In a viral video circulating on X (formerly Twitter), Prophet Obi dismissed the woman’s testimony as a lie, stating that she misrepresented both God and the church. His reaction follows allegations that the woman, who publicly shared her testimony during a church program, had fabricated the entire story. Reports later surfaced identifying her as a zobo drink seller, casting doubts on the credibility of her claim.

Addressing the controversy, Prophet Obi clarified that he has no personal connection with the woman, emphasizing that she was merely one of many individuals who visit his church to testify. He insisted that if the testimony was false, it was the woman who lied to God—not to him or his ministry.

“I said it last month that my name would be everywhere in the media. They’re making it look real, but it’s all fake,” Obi stated.

He also alleged that bloggers had been sponsored to spread false narratives about him, adding, “Now, do I know her? Does any member know her? She came to testify, just like hundreds of others who come here daily. If her claim about the house is fake, then she lied before God and His altar—not the ministry.”
