Skyworld Community Innovation Transport Africa, (SCITA) has indicated strong interest to build the fastest transport system, even faster than the speed train in Nigeria.
Speaking exclusively with www.theajasanews.com recently in Abuja, SCITA president, Dr Kristiaan Van Vyver maintained that their transports system if allowed to be built in Nigeria will go a long in solving the transports challenges the country has been experiencing on their roads.
Explaining more on the technology SCITA boss said, “We want to build in Nigeria a new type of transport technology, which can move in a 150km per hour speed in the city and a 600km per hour in the long distant. We are also creating our own energy to power it because it is an analytic vehicle.
“The transport system will be so cheap that we can drive you for two hundred Naira for a ticket for a distance from like Lekki to the airport in ten minutes. And from Abuja to Lagos in forty five minutes for only five thousand Naira. There will be no more delays and wasting of time suffered by commuters and no more accidents.
“This is the biggest deal for the country, and we know that your country has a very big issue with electricity, but we will create our own electricity with our vehicle. This technology has been in existence for more than forty years and it was created by a Belarus engineer. Its already in operation in Sacha and Belarus. And other countries in Europe, United Emirate are also already enjoying it.
“I have the privilege to build it for Africa and I wish to start with Nigeria, and from there I will export it to other Africa countries.
The man who hails from Belgium stressed that their organization is not seeking for the Nigerian government to give them funds for the project as they already have that covered from their end.
“I am not asking your government to give us money to build this technology in Nigeria; I only need people to support my technology.
We are still seeking for your government to give us the permission to carry out this project. We are still working on seeing the right people in your government, though we have spoken to some few person already but the biggest challenge is really meeting the right people concerned in the country.
“All I am asking for is the right of way for me to just build one of the projects in Nigeria for them to see how this technology works. You know in Nigeria it is always seeing is believing.
“SCITA has a system where everybody can also be a co-owner in the project, just as you can be a co-owner in facebook, in Amazon and others. All we need is for Nigerians to invest in it which make them part of the owners of the project.
On how soon he intend to commence operation in Nigeria Mr. Van Vyver revealed that if all things go as planned they hope to commence next year.
“My target is to commence building of this technology next year in Nigeria but we will need people to co-investor in it. Apart from that we have ready made investors and even banks that have indicated interest to bankroll this project. The only thing is for us to have the right of way and the investors will bring in money for the project,” he noted
