Rohr confirms Moses as Musa’s replacement, Ekong as captain

Super Eagles manager, Genort Rohr has confirmed to www.theajasanews.com that Levante fc of Spain player, Moses Simon will take the place of Captain Ahmed Musa who had been excused to return to his Saudi Arabia club Al- Nassr to play a very crucial match against league leaders Al-Hilal in a top of the table cracker in the Saudi Arabia Professional League match.

Rohr also confirm that in Musa’s absence William Trost Ekong will captain the team in the international friendly match against the Pharaohs of Egypt on Tuesday.

Musa had to leave Asaba Sunday evening in order to get to Saudi Arabia on time for the league cracker.

“Musa is leaving the Eagles camp today (Sunday) to arrive Saudi Arabia on time for his club game on Friday
against the Leaders Al-Nassr”, Eagles Coach Gernot Rohr disclosed.

“Ekong will Captain the Super Eagles since Musa is going back to his club. Simon Moses will start against Egypt on Tuesday in Musa’s absence”, Rohr also disclosed.

Musa’s club Al-Nassr is second on the Saudi Arabia Professional League table with 55 points from 24 matches played so far while Al-Hilal is the league leaders with 57 points won from same matches played.
