The Executive President of Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria, Comrade Osapkamwan Eriyo has stated that they have put in place monitoring committees across the country to monitor their drivers and other road users during this festive season.
In a statement made available to www.theajasanews.com, Comrade Osakpamwan Eriyo also warned Motorists especially their drivers not to overspeed or drink during the festive season to guard against avoidable accidents.
The Executive President in his festive message to Nigerians and its members said such good behaviour will go a long way to save lives.
Comrade Eriyo said , ” Our drivers, members and Nigerians should ensure that they maintain a controllable speed limit, avoid drinking while driving, ensure your vehicle is in order before any trip”.
While wishing them a happy Christmas and prosperous new year in advance. The RTEAN Boss also advice against night journey in order to avoid criminals on the way.
