Sanwo-Olu assures on inclusive governance, vows to work with LGs, LCDAs

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos has reiterated his commitment to continue to work in partnership with Local Governments and Local Council Development Areas, to ensure inclusive governance at the grassroots.

The governor was speaking at the commissioning of the newly constructed three ultra modern Apapa Iganmu Local Council Development Area, at Ijora Badia Secretariat Extension. He stated that the beautiful office complex would provide a favourable work environment for workers, as well as enhance productivity and service delivery.

The Governor commended the Council’s Chairman, Funmilayo Muhammed and her team, on the commendable initiative, adding that it was important to develop policies and initiatives that would be geared towards supporting and empowering the people, especially the youths, women and the physically challenged.

He said at the state level, government had developed and was still working towards introducing more policies and programmes, such as the Lagos State Graduate Internship Placement Programme, targeted at 4000 unemployed graduates.

The Complex was named after  Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
