The Super Eagles host Seychelles this Friday in Asaba an Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, though having already qualified, Skipper of the team, Ahmed Musa has revealed that the match will be used as part of the 2019 AFCON preparation.
The Super Eagles would also be playing the Egyptians National side in an International friendly match four days later at the same stadium, both matches, Musa said would be approached with great seriousness as they form part of their preparation for the main tournament in June.
Speaking in Asaba, Musa disclosed that he was in support of his coach decision to call up regular players for both games knowing that the period remaining for the build-up to the competition is just at hand.
He said he and his Eagles teammates are taking the games seriously because they see the fixtures as the ideal test for their preparations for the AFCON.
“We are playing these two games with seriousness because we know that we do not have another FIFA window again before the start of AFCON preparations,” Musa told the media.
“We will play the game with at that we have to ensure that we come out on top at the end of both of them. We are prepared for the games and we shall make Nigerians proud.”
