Nigerian human rights activist, Omoyele Sowore has called for the arrest of self-proclaimed “Prophet” Ebuka Obi, accusing him of deceiving people with false prophecies and fraudulent miracles.

Sowore criticized law enforcement authorities for focusing on a woman, Loveth Helen Alo, instead of going after Obi, whom he described as the real fraudster. Alo, 32, was recently arraigned in an Enugu court after falsely claiming ownership of a five-bedroom duplex during a testimony at Obi’s Zion Prayer Ministry in Lagos.

Following a petition, police arrested Alo, and she later confessed to fabricating the testimony. She was subsequently charged with fraud, defamation, and attempting to sell the property illegally. The court granted her bail, and her case is set to continue on April 9, 2025.

Reacting to the development, Sowore condemned the authorities for what he described as selective justice. He argued that Obi, who has allegedly enriched himself by exploiting his congregation, should be the one facing trial.

The activist also expressed his willingness to support Alo and urged anyone with her contact information to reach out to him.
