Sunshine Stars football club of Akure must definitely be at their best to steal the maximum three points when they take on already relegated Gombe United in the week 34 Startimes/NPFL match at the Pantani stadium, Gombe this weekend.

Sunshine Stars are currently seated in the number 16 position on the league table with 40 points. The Akure based team cannot afford to be comfortable as relegation stares them on the face. They must have to bring their A Game if at all they are to come out with the maximum three points which would go a long way to assuring their survival in the top flight league.

This was exactly the same opinion shared by the team defensive midfielder, Osimaga Duke who declared that his team is condemned to beating Gombe United in their backyard if they are to avoid relegation.

“We will come all out in our match against Gombe United because we need the points. We need to get the points because if we don’t win the match, we are going down fully.

“The management, players, backroom staff and everybody should bring out their best in this match against Gombe United. It is very important for us.”

A win for Sunshine Stars would lift them to to as high as the 13th position should result not go the way of the teams ahead of them.
