‘’We have made giant strides with the Waka Football league. We made a big statement with the inaugural edition of the league last year. We are excited with the commencement of season two, and we are committed to making it a lot better in all ramifications. The teams are ready to take the game to greater heights. I am personally passionate about the game and looking forward to another successful season,’’ Uti said.

Walking football is for the 50 years and above and not only for ex-internationals. It is unique as it promotes fitness with emphasis on fair play, and a strict application of the rules against running with ball, heading of ball. Also no tackling from the sides or behind and kicking above the shoulder is prohibited. A standard game lasts 40 minutes, 20 minutes per half with a five minutes break. It is played on a 40×20 meters pitch with 6 players in each team.
