The song “Essence” by Nigerian musician Wizkid, featuring fast-rising singer Tems, is the “most Shazamed” in the United States.
This is a huge accomplishment for both Wizkid and Tems, who are signed to the same label, as well as African music in general.
Wizkid’s ‘Essence’ Remix is in the top 30 in the United States, with over a million views in just 23 hours.
Since its release in October of last year, the song has received a lot of praise. It’s off his fourth studio album, Made in Lagos.
The news was made on the music-search platform’s website alongside a list of the Top 200 Most Shazamed tracks in the United States.
Wizkid’s Essence has received a lot of attraction from different part of the world.
Justin Bieber recently appeared on the remix of the song, which is included in the deluxe edition of the singer’s MIL album.
