Following the xenophobic attack unleashed on Nigerians and other Africa residents in South Africa, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has said that the first batch of Nigerians who have indicated interest to leave South Africa are billed to arrive at the Murtala Muhammed International airport 2.pm today.
According to the itinerary released by the Ministry on Tuesday, the Air Peace airline that has volunteered to airlift Nigerians from South Africa would be departing Jo’burg 9.am this morning.
The Air Peace airline expected to arrive with three hundred Nigerians, and they would be received on arrival by senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Nigerians and other Africa Nationals have been targeted for attack by the black South Africans for reasons only known to them.
Unfortunately, the government of South Africa have not been able to address the issue which have allowed the attacks to carry on unhindered.
