The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) is taking a proactive approach to reduce road traffic crashes during the festive season.

Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed has ordered Commanding Officers to activate mobile court operations nationwide, effective immediately. This move aims to intensify the Corps’ efforts in ensuring road safety and reducing crashes.

Mobile court operations will enable the prompt prosecution of traffic offenders, serving as a deterrent to potential violators. The FRSC has identified the need for swift justice to maintain sanity on the highways, and mobile courts will play a critical role in achieving this goal.

To ensure the success of this initiative, Commanding Officers will work closely with relevant stakeholders, particularly the judiciary, to guarantee seamless prosecution of traffic rules violators. This collaborative approach will help to reduce road traffic crashes and promote a safer driving culture in Nigeria.

The FRSC has a range of penalties in place for traffic offenders, including fines and custody fees. By activating mobile court operations, the Corps can ensure that traffic rules violators are held accountable and that the roads remain safe for all users.
