Former Nigeria U-20 Coach and one-time Secretary General of the Nigeria Football Federal Ambassador Fanny Amu was one of the many dignitaries who received awards during the FA FC end-of-the-year party and award night which took place in Abuja recently.

Ajilore told our correspondent that the party and award night was their only way of appreciating the contribution of the parents of the kids, persons, and management staff who have contributed in one way or the other in making the year, 2022 a very successful one for them.

Speaking extensively, Ajilore said, “I will start by thanking God for the grace. It is our end-of-the-year party for team FA FC. It is a journey that we started a few years ago and to the glory of God we have been able to achieve a few things, and we are believing God to achieve more. As you can see today has been a very busy day for us. We started as early as 8 am when all our parents gathered for an aerobics excise, and the fathers came out to play against the management of team FC.  And our mummies had a game also against the U-8. It was a fantastic atmosphere for them.

“What we tried to do is to help them participate in sports as well, not to just watch the kids, so that they can have a feel of how football is themselves. they had fun, they played gamers the little one, even though, the little one won the game against them they had a taste of what it is to play football, and we were very happy to see them showing what they have in football. And for the management and the daddies, it was a fun game for them and for the management as well.

“So, it is just a way to unwind after a very long season of the year. We had two trophies that our kids won during the year, and we think it is the right time to celebrate them and celebrate the victory as well. That is the reason we put this party together for them, because after today we going on holiday. We think they all deserve some rest, even the management.

“And in the evening, we had a few award presentations. The award presentation is to acknowledge and appreciate the efforts of the parents during the course of the year. A lot of them left whatever they are doing just to make sure that their kids participate in games and training in other for them to grow.

“And we as management believe that it is a tough one for them because they have a whole lot to do. Bringing the kids every training day and when we have games means a lot to us, and we think they deserve some recognition. And not only that, whenever we have games there are many things they do to make sure the kids are happy. When we go for away games they come with drinks and a lot of things for them, and we think all those things should not go unnoticed. That was the reason we put those awards because we believe for every hard work they should also be a reward. So, it’s a way for management to reward them for all that they have done.

“People like the Ambassador himself, the Fanny Amu, MON, who has done so well for the country who whenever we have any grassroots program he is always there to encourage the kids, to support us and we think as management that he has done a lot for grassroots football, and he deserves some recognition and that was why we were able to put amazing award for him as well. And of course, we are also monitory every other people that are doing well, especially grassroots football. We are believing that in the next few years we are going to have an award presentation and recognition for the hard work of those that has been contributing a lot to grassroots football. Until then we believe that God will help us to actualize this dream,” he concluded.
