FCT FA Chairman focuses on online sports media to help drive his programs

The newly elected Chairman of the Federal Capital Territory Football Association, Adam Mouktar Muhammed has promised to work more with the Nigeria online sports media with a view to taking FCT football to a higher level.

Speaking with www.the ajasanews.com shortly after been sworn in as the newly elected Chairman of the FCT Football Association, he noted that the media is going to play a prominent role in his administration of football in the territory.

Muktar who questioned why the Nigeria league administrators have not placed the media in the driving seat of the Nigeria league said, “Now the world is global, we must go online, we must have online activities, we must be covered properly and we must follow up through the media for our activities to be known, to be seen and to be appreciated,”

On how he actually plans to run football in the FCT, Muktar said.

“We are also going to put up committees to look at how premier league football can come back to Abuja, also how the Super Eagles can utilize the Abuja National Stadium better. We want to also look at how we can develop also grassroot football and make the league attractive to sponsors”,

“Concerning my Board’s blue print for football in FCT, like I said I have an agenda. That agenda is that we want to develop facilities, we want to have good football pitches in the area councils and in and around Abuja.

“We also hope to develop human capital including the coaches, the players, administrators and even other stakeholders. We wish to carry everybody along and develop.

He also vowed to bring all the football stakeholders together in the FCT.

“I am going to run an open door system and an all inclusive system . We are going to put up a good structure whereby we put some great minds together, bring some innovations and run it properly and do the right thing”, Mouktar promised.
