FCT Perm Sec charges Information officers to sensitize title holders to comply with dateline

The Permanent Secretary of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), Mr. Olusade Adesola has called on Information Officers and Public Relations Professionals under the employ of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) to go all out to sensitize all title holders in the nation’s capital who are owing Ground Rents to comply with Government 2 weeks directive given to defaulters to make payment of their outstanding debt from date of publication in some national dailies.

The Permanent Secretary gave the charge when he received the newly elected members of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) FCTA Chapel in his Office in Area 11, Garki- Abuja.
The Permanent Secretary stressed that payment of Ground Rents would not only assist the Administration to improve on service delivery to Residents of FCT but also go a long way in upscaling infrastructural provision in the Territory.
Mr. Adesola equally enjoined Information Officers in all the Secretariats, Departments and Agencies to be up and doing, by ensuring they report all the policies and programmes of the Administration in line with their professional calling.
Harping on the roles of Information Officers, the Permanent Secretary explained that it is the responsibility of Information Officers to defend the policies and programmes of the Administration as well as combating   fake news.
The Permanent Secretary who also used the opportunity to congratulate the new Exco of the NUJ, FCTA Chapel for emerging victorious during the Election, enjoined them to work assiduously to advance the interest of their members across all the SDAs.
Earlier, in her presentation, the Chairperson of the Union, Comrade Ngozi Uloma Ufomba thanked the Permanent Secretary for all the reforms, innovations and great ideas introduced so far.
Comrade Ufomba appealed to the Permanent Secretary to assist the Union to get a Bus for easy mobility of their Members to participate in all activities of the Union across the country.
Mrs. Ufomba assured   the Permanent Secretary of the readiness of the new Exco to work closely with the Administration in ensuring the actualization of the Renewed Hope Agenda of the present Government.
