FIFA U-20 World cup: Makanjuola can’t wait to make coach proud in Poland

Following the release of the final 21 man list of players that would represent Nigeria at the FIFA U-20 world cup in Poland later this month, fast rising football star, 18 year old Success Makanjuola who was among the players selected has vowed not to disappoint team Coach, Paul Aigbogun.

The Highly Rated left footed forward who is popularly called Young Messi expressed happiness for the opportunity to play at the world cup.   

“I am very happy that the coach picked me and am more grateful to him because  I know it was not an easy decision for the  Coach to pick the final squad, ” Makanjuola said.                             

“Like what the coach told all of us when he was announcing the list , he said everybody has done very well in training but  can’t take every one  to the World Cup , so I think the entire team owe him a lot when the tournament starts and personally I can’t wait to put up a very good performance for the coach”.                                  

The Water FC of Abuja dazzling winger further  praised the Nigeria Football Federation for the level of preparation the team is having in Germany ahead of the World Cup.                               

“I think for us the players we don’t have any excuse not to make our Country proud in Poland  because everything we need has been given to us by the NFF, from camping to motivation , so we  just want to put smiles on the faces of all Nigerians and we are asking for their prayers”, Makanjuola stressed.                         

The Flying Eagles will begin their World Cup campaign on the 24th of May against Qatar before subsequent group games against USA and Ukraine.
