Arsenal mercurial midfielder, Mohammed Naser Elsayed Elneny was among the 23 man Egyptian players that stormed Asaba for the Tuesday international friendly with the Super Eagles of Nigeria, www.theajasanews.com can authoritatively report.
The Pharaohs of Egypt made up of 50-man delegation arrived Asaba, Delta state Airport at about 2pm Sunday for the friendly match.
The delegation included 24 players, technical official and backroom staff and Egypt Football Association’s top officials.The original list sent to the NFF was 65 man delegation but 50 people eventually arrived Asaba for the friendly involving two teams that have already qualified for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nation holding in the visitor’s country (Egypt).
Among the players that flew into Abuja via Egypt Air also included Ahmed Farag Khaled, Amro Mohamed Elsoulia, Omar Sayed Gaber, Ahmed Naser Elshenawi, Tarek Elsaid Hamed, Ahmed Mahgoub, Aly Mohamed, Mahmoud Hassan, Aly Mousad and Mostafa Abdalla to mention a few.The Egyptian national team was also led into Asaba by their Spanish Coach Javier Aguirre while Nigeria Football Federation President Amaju Melvin Pinnick ably supported by NFF protocol officers Emmanuel Ayanbunmi and NFF Immigration attache Robet Akpenpuun.
