Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has officially dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC), marking one of the most significant political shifts in the state in recent years.
The governor made the declaration on Tuesday during a high-level stakeholders’ meeting at the Government House, Port Harcourt, where he informed party leaders, allies, and supporters of his decision to join the ruling party.
Fubara’s defection adds fresh momentum to the APC’s nationwide expansion drive and deepens the political realignment currently sweeping across the country. His move is expected to reshape the political dynamics in Rivers State, a key battleground in the South-South region.
