The ongoing industrial action embarked upon by the Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria, PASAN seem to be taken a new dimension as members have declared war against their Executive.

www.theajasanews.com has authoritatively gathered that majority of the members of the Association seem totally dissatisfied with body language of the Executive over the manner they have gone with the discussions with the management.

The workers expressed surprise that the exco seem to be falling for the usual antics of the management and have been trying to woo fellow members to accept what they have offered which they maintained is a far cry from what they are demanding.

Some of the members who spoke to our correspondent on condition of anonymity expressed total disgust with the exco stressing that they would not hesitate to confront them in the way they would not like.

The staff maintained that they may not turn up for the congress that has been called for Tuesday arguing that nothing new and meaningful would come out come out of it.

“The only language we want to hear is our alert. Our demands are very clear. Which are, 50% Conless Balance , Rents Subsidy for 2 years – 2021 & 2022. Leave grants 2022, Conpeculiar allowance arrears and other demands,”

“These things and others were what was agreed and captured in the MOU signed with the management. They were supposed to have been implemented since last year but they refused. So, why would our Executive be settling for less. This is a total betrayal and we would not accept that,”

“This is a management that has the penchant of reneging on every agreement. This is not the first or the second time that they have promise to implement the MOU but what did we get, nothing,” the angry staff concluded.

They argued that there is no sense in calling for any congress again to discuss when the persons they are dealing with are serial agreement breakers.
