N-SIP, NIHOTOUR partners on Youths Hospitality Training

In an effort to extend their impact to the Hospitality Industry the National Social Investment Programmes (N-SIP) which main objective is to help create employment for the teaming youths of Nigeria has entered into partnership with National Institute For Hospitality & Tourism (NIHOTOUR) with a view to Develop Nigerian youths in the Hospitality Sector through the N-Power Program.

The Acting Director General (NIHOTOUR) Momoh Kabir who disclosed this to www.theajasanews.com in Abuja on Thursday during N-SIP, Stakeholders meeting explained the significance of the Initiative saying it is meant to add values and move the economy forward through N-Power scheme.

“This particular segment has to do with hospitality sector which is centered on humans survival as no one can do without food. As an Organization, we are to educate the youths on the way and manner with regards the preparations, knowing that the way food is presented to guests is of critical essence ” he disclosed.

The NIHOTOUR boss also explained, “We are with N-power to sensitise the (Center Health) for we have centres that have scattered all over the country, that are going to be responsible for training our teeming youths on how to acquire skills in hospitality sector.

“There are lots of youths that have the flair for hospitality activities but do not have the requisite skills. “N-Power in many ways have taken care of the skills but the consumables for the trainees are going to be provided, with stipends for Participants”, he explained.

The National Institute for Social Investment programmes in Nigeria (N-SIP),which is under the office of Nigeria’s Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo and headed by Hajia Mariam Uwais.

She officially Introduced the Hospitality & Tourism (NIHTOUR) at the floor of Stakeholders meeting held at the State House, Abuja as well as welcomed the new professional body into one of its branches of( N-Power).

The partnership will help to Inculcate modern skills of Hospitality and Tourism in the area of Youths Development, in Nigeria.
