NANPF mourns Ogunjobi

The National Association of Nigeria Professional Footballers, NANPF has joined millions of Nigeria football stakeholders to mourn the passing on of former Nigeria Football Federation Secretary General and one time Green Eagles player, Chief Taiwo Ogunjobi whose death was announced on Monday.

NANPF president, Tijani Babaginda,MON described the death as a big blow to the family of football in Nigeria saying that indeed the Nation will greatly miss his services and experience in the administration of football.

“Nigeria will greatly miss him. He was a great footballer in his time and also a very sound football administrator who functioned so well as NFF Secretary General and also as Chairman NFF technical committee in the executive board.

“I tell you the truth, it was a big shock to me when I heard of his death. I never heard that he was sick only to hear that he is dead. I am really sad.

“We at the player’s Union mourn him. And we pray God to grant him eternal peace and the family the fortitude to bear the loss,” Tijani Babaginda prayed.

The NANPF president also sent his condolence to the current NFF president, Amaju Pinnick for Chief Ogunjobi’ death being a former NFF board member and Secretary General.
