Nigerian Noway based striker, Leke James has declared unequivocally that following the experience he has gathered playing in several top league in Europe he is qualified to be invited to play for the Nigeria Super Eagles.

The Molde FK top striker Leke James is confident of boosting the Super Eagles’ attacking line if he gets invitation to play for the Nigeria’s senior national team.

The 26 year old striker has proved himself playing in China and Europe, playing for top teams in the top division club sides over there.

He had a stint with Aalesund of Norway in 2012-2015, In 2016 to 2017 he moved to China to play for Beijing Enterprises and in 2018 he also joined Molde FK of Norway where he is still banging in the goals.

Speaking with www.theajasanews.com in Abuja, James explained the reason for aspiring to play for the Super Eagles.

“Since I have been in Norway for long now, I also have the chance of playing for Norway. But every patriotic player will always choose his fatherland first. So my first priority is to play for Nigeria. Nigeria is first. I want to play for the Super Eagles of Nigeria if given the opportunity”, James who is off season in his club.

“I am working hard to better my game day by day to improve on what I do and expecting that hopefully one day I will get an invite or a call up to the senior national team of Nigeria, the Super Eagles. I think the main thing I can do is to work hard.

“Speaking on how I joined Molde FK of Norway (in April 30, 2018), I would say that after my spell in China with a Chinese team, I was free there. Then few clubs got to know that I was free and a couple of club wanted me in their clubs then. I also learnt that the present Manchester United Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wanted me to join his Molde FK team also and I decided to go for that option of joining Solskjaer. That was how I got to Molde. The Coach said he wanted to work with me then and I accepted the offer. To be honest it was a great honour for me to work with a famous coach like Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

“Since he left I have been working very hard to be in top form. So if given a chance to join the Super Eagles I will grab it with both hands. In fact every player just wants that opportunity, the chance. I have what it takes. I have more than what it takes to be in the team (Eagles).
