Chief Press Secretary to Delta State Governor, Sir Fetus Ahon, Friday, said the Supreme Court judgment which affirmed Governor Sheriff Oborevwori as the winner of the March 18, 2023 gubernatorial election in the state, has restored the hope of Deltans in particular and Nigerians in general to the country’s democracy and judicial system.Sir Ahon pointed out that the apex court had with its judgment, affirmed the massive support freely given to Rt. Hon. Oborevwori in the last year’s election.

Reacting to the apex court’s judgment, Ahon, in a statement, said the judgment which coincided with the first year birthday anniversary of his grandson was a manifestation of God’s great plans for the people of the state.

He said: “Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s victory in the election as well as his victories at the tribunal, Court of Appeal and now the Supreme Court show that he was clearly chosen by God to take the State to the next level.

“His emergence was by God’s design and could not have been taken away by man. This supreme court victory is a victory for democracy and Deltans who turned out en masse to give our Governor the mandate to govern us.

“We thank God for his love and mercy to the people of the State. We all know that our governor is a man that is loved by his people and he will not let them down.

“Our Governor has said repeatedly that no one is good enough to be his enemy and that he has no capacity to make anyone his enemy. He has also said repeatedly that he is Governor for all Deltans.

“I therefore call on his opponents to join hands with the governor as he goes ahead in his unwavering resolve to advance the state through his MORE Agenda.”
