Supporters of former Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege, have announced plans for a major political gathering in Delta State on April 23, 2026, describing the event as a defining moment for the Delta Central political landscape.
According to a notice circulated among party faithful and stakeholders, the event—tagged the “Great Decision”—will feature a grand reception for the former governorship candidate upon his arrival at Osubi Airport.
The schedule indicates that party leaders, stakeholders and members are expected to converge at the airport by 10:00 a.m., ahead of Omo-Agege’s arrival at 11:00 a.m. He is thereafter billed to proceed in a motorcade to Orhomuru-Orogun, where a grand reception is slated for noon.
Organisers say the gathering will serve as a rallying point for the “relaunch of a political movement” aimed at strengthening representation in Delta Central. The event is also expected to draw supporters from across the senatorial district and beyond.
In the statement signed by Chuks Awo Odjuvwuederie Erhire, supporters were urged to mobilise widely and participate in what was described as a historic moment.
“This is the time for us to come out en masse and receive our leader,” the statement read, calling on loyalists to ensure a strong turnout.
While details of the “Great Decision” remain undisclosed, political observers say the event may signal renewed political moves ahead of future contests in the state.
