PDP National Chairman pays homage on acting Ochi’Doma, seeks royal blessing

National Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Dr Iyorchia Ayu Tuesday, 14th December, 2021 paid homage on the acting Ochi’Doma, Engr George Edeh in his Palace in Otukpo, headquarters of the Idoma nation.

Dr Ayu said he was in the acting Ochi’Doma’s Palace to formally inform him that he was elected National Chairman of the biggest political party in West Africa and to seek royal blessings.

While condoling the Acting Ochi’Doma and the entire Idoma nation over the hunting expedition embarked upon by the former Ochi’Doma, Dr Elias Ikoyi Obekpa, he prayed that the blessings he left behind continue to abide in the Palace.

The PDP National Chairman noted that, as an opposition party in the country, he has the herculean task of regrouping all party leaders of the party and position it inorder to wrestle power from the APC and make life better for Nigerians.

Dr Ayu paid glowing tributes to  Governor Samuel Ortom for what he described him as “the Commander in Chief of the Allied Forces that led his team to victory,” stressing that all Benue sons worked as a team and expressed hope that they will continue in that manner to win more things for Benue.

Responding, the Acting Och’Idoma, HRM, Engr George Edeh

congratulated the National Chairman on his  victory as National Chairman of the PDP, saying leadership comes from God and prayed He gives him the wisdom to succeed.

The Acting Ochi’Doma who advised the PDP National Chairman to lead with the fear of God, assured him of the blessings of the Idoma Area Traditional Council, pointing out that his success will be for the benefit of all.

Governor Samuel Ortom in a remark, pledged the support of his administration to the traditional institution and for the emergence of a successor to the Ochi’Doma who had gone on hunting expedition.

On the entourage of the National Chairman was former Senate President, Senator David Mark, Benue State Deputy Governor, Engr Benson Abounu, Senator Abba Moro and Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Titus Uba among others.
