Nigeria began their AFCON campaign on a successful note after outclassing the Pharaohs of Egypt in group D of the competition, with a performance that makes the 33rd edition of the AFCON very promising for the Eagles. Nigeria will be facing Sudan on the 15th of January, in their second group stage fixture.

The Super Eagles will be looking to get another win, as they aim at qualifying top of the group. Speaking of the Sudan game, Nigeria need to show a great deal of improvement from the previous game, to improve their chances of challenging other top African teams for the trophy. The first eleven against Egypt was just enough to get the job done, but Nigeria will need to get the best out of the squad they currently have.

Doing a little analysis, here are two players Augustine Eguavoen should introduce in the first eleven to maximize their playing pattern.

Chidera Ejuke

Ejuke should be introduced into the right-wing position, as he is good with ball control and also dribbles perfectly, which are core attributes of a playmaker. Ejuke should replace Samuel Chukwueze against Sudan for a change so the manager could further experiment with the squad.

Tyronne Ebuehi

The 26-year-old should replace Aina in the defence line, as he may prove to be a better partner with Troost-Ekong and Kenneth Omeruo.
