Former Lagos State Governor, Bola Ahmed Tinubu is believed to be interested in the 2023 presidential election. Actually, Tinubu is still in London receiving treatment after knee surgery, he has been visited by various political officeholders. His kinsmen are anxiously waiting for him to return, Governor Akeredolu even declared that the South is waiting for his return and decision.
However, some political pundits see him as the politician that may become the presidential candidate of the ruling APC if the party zones its 2023 presidential ticket to the South-West.
No doubt Tinubu deserves it because he helped Buhari win the 2015 and 2019 presidential elections. Some of his supporters and fans believe that it will be a landslide victory for Tinubu in Lagos State because Lagos is his political base.
But with the looks of things, Tinubu might step down from his ambition and choose a credible candidate like him. Anyway here are two candidates Tinubu may Nominate any of these APC members as Presidential Candidate.
The incumbent Governor of Osun State, Alhaji Isiaka Adegboyega Oyetola is a gentle, brilliant, calm, reserved and collected politician.
Governor Isiaka Adegboyega Oyetola is a blood related brother of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He has been following the political discipline of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for decades.
Governor Isiaka Adegboyega Oyetola may likely be the best man that Asiwaju Tinubu may want to consider to contest the 2023 presidential election if the necessity arises.
2. Kayode Fayemi.
The third individual here that I believe the likes of Tinubu should support to become the next president while he himself just continues to act as a Godfather and an enabler is the Ekiti state governor and Chairman of the Governors’ Forum. Fayemi aged 56, has the temperance and cool-headedness needed to direct the affairs of a nation such as Nigeria.
His experience as two-term governor of Ekiti state is also a wealth of knowledge that will come in handy for him as president of Nigeria should he be supported to attain it.
