In the early hours of today being Thursday, October 7, 2021, reports went viral about the arrest of Nollywood actor Chinwetalu Agu by soldiers at Upper Iweka in Onitsha, Anambra State, after he was seen publicly putting on the Biafran dress.

See the video link below.

Although many people think that he shouldn’t be arrested because he’s from one of the states in the South-East zone, here’s a reason why he shouldn’t have worn it publicly, regardless of his belief.

The IPOB has been declared a terrorist group:

Due to the recent crises around them, which have also involved the killing of humans by some people under the disguise of the IPOB group, the group was declared a terrorist group by the Nigerian government. Due to the calibre of man that he is and his influence, seeing him in such regalia can easily influence others into joining him.

Even if the aim of forming such a group is harmless, some people can still hide under the disguise of being members of the group, and thus cause havoc in society. Therefore, Chinwetalu Agu would have avoided wearing such regalia in public places, notwithstanding his belief.
