While several countries are hovering around current Super Eagles Technical Adviser, Gernot Rohr to snatch him away from Nigeria, the German-French tactician has stated that he is still waiting on the leadership of the Nigeria Football Federation to commence discussion on his contract extension.

Speaking with www.theajasanews.com in Abuja on Tuesday, Rohr noted he would be ready to wait till the end of his contract when he will now be legally free to entertain discussions from other interested Nations.

“The situation regarding my contract with the Nigeria Football Federation is simple. My contract is going until June 2020. We have started the qualifiers (for the 2021 AFCON). We are on a good way now to qualify. So I am ready to discuss. I have also other (football) federation who wants to have me but I told them for the moment my priority is to discuss with the NFF.

“That is the situation but after the 1st of January, 2020 I am free to sign with whoever I want. After the first of July, 2020 I will be free. That is the situation and that’s why I think the next step will be to wait for what NFF is doing. We have our team, we have our plan, our project, we have our program to go to the 2021 AFCON first and to start the (2022) World Cup qualifiers because everybody wants to go to the World Cup and this team has a good chance to go there”, Rohr said.
