The candidate of the All Progressive Grand Alliance, Charles Soludo, is currently leading the race to become the next Governor of Anambra State after INEC officially released the result of votes in eight different local government areas of the state. According to reports, the former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Charles Soludo, secured victory in all the eight local government areas.

Though, there is still a long way to go as we still have results from I3 local government areas unannounced. However, questions have been raised on how Charles Soludo remains undefeated at any local government area in Anambra State. We all thought the election would be very tight considering the great influence of some other candidates from major political parties.

Nigerian Activist, Comrade Deji Adeyanju, was also surprised after INEC announced the result of eight local government areas in Anambra State. He believes APC delegates who won the primaries for Andy Ubah didn’t do enough during the governorship election. In a statement released on Twitter, he wrote: “The 302,000 APC delegates that miraculously voted for Andy Ubah in the APC primaries are refusing to come out to vote him”.
