…….Says FCT Sports will thrive the more

By Martin Odiete

The Federal Capital Territory Director of Sports, Dilichukwu Oyedinma has hailed the reappointment of Muhammed Bello as the FCT Minister saying it is indeed a blessing for Sports men and women in the Territory.

Speaking with www.theajasanews.com, Dilichukwu recalled with joy that it was under the administration of Muhammed Bello that FCT recorded her best ever performance at the National Sports Festival noting that the Territory won a total number of 22 gold medals, and finishing 7th on the medal table during the last Sports Festival which was hosted by FCT.

Madam Dili as she is fondly called expressed joy with the minister reappointment saying she is fully confident that FCT sports will even surpass their last performance at the National Sports Festival in subsequent championship they would participate in.

“I am so full of hope that our sports is going to go higher and higher with the reappointment of the minister. As i said before that under his administration, FCT got their best result at the National Sports Festival which we hosted last year. I am still very hopeful that its going to get better and better for FCT sports with his reappointment,” she said.

Meanwhile, the FCT Director of Sports has appealed to the Minister to help facilitate the release of funds to enable FCT Athletes participate at the forth coming National Youth Games at Illorin.

“I am only appealing to him to use his good office to facilitate the release of funds to enable our young Athletes participate at the National Youth Games. It will not speak well of us in the Federal Capital Territory that our Athletes would not participate at a National event that all the other states of the Federation would be in attendance. And i know my Hounourable Minister will not want that too. He is a man who has demonstrated strong love for children and i am confident he will surely do something,” she concluded.

The National Youth Games is expected to begin on the 8th of this month.
